About Me


My name is Luke Harrison, I am a freelance Flash Developer and Game Design Tutor based in London, United Kingdom. I use Flash AS3 and a little bit of HTML / PHP to create games, museum interactive and websites. I teach Game Design to young teenagers with Rolling Sound using FPSC and Game Maker software.

Experience

I have been working as a Flash Developer since 2006. I started working at Gamelab London developing educational flash games and activities for BBC Jam and 2Simple. I went on to work at Viridian, a web design and marketing company making flash websites and flash content to go online.

In 2008 I left Viridian and became a Freelance Flash Developer, I went on to do a range of large scale projects such as websites, games and interactive displays for museums.

Skills

I specialise in Flash ActionScript3 to make mini games, websites and interactive displays. I also have skills in web design and teaching Game Design and running workshops.

Awards / Nominations


My work has been nominated for and won a few awards, the highest being a Children's BAFTA award nomination. The work I do for museums usually gets the most awards.

Education

I studied Computer Visualisation and Games at London Metropolitan University and graduated in 2009 with a First Honours Degree. During my time at university I had a two year work placement at Gamelab London. I also had a few months Work Experience at Viridian and a few weeks at Honeyslug.
